Total Weight Loss: -96.2
Current Week (4/26/11): 163.8
Current Week: -.2
Well the scale is moving rather slowly, but I'm not doing the greatest either! I'm getting tons of Activity in, but then I'm finding reasons to "treat" myself with food because I exercised. Fail! And now...a challenge awaits me ahead! I'm off to Asheville, NC this weekend for my 2nd bachelorette party with my Matron of honor, bridesmaids, and a few very treasured college friends. I'm beyond words excited, and can't wait to see my friends that I've missed oh so much! In fact, I'm so excited that it's all I can think of, and I'm not exactly sure what else to write today. I'm sorry! I promise a good entry next week. Have a fabulous week everyone! :)

Week 4 and 5: Catching up a little!
Week 4:
Starting Weight: 260 (January 2009)
Total Weight Loss: -95.8
Current Week (4/26/11): 164.2
Current Week: -.4
Week 5:
Starting Weight: 260 (January 2009)
Total Weight Loss: -96
Current Week (5/3/11): 164
Current Week: -.2
So, as you can see I haven't done so hot the last two weeks, but none-the-less the scale is moving in the right direction, and that's what matters!
Wedding is 6 weeks and 2 days away-yikes! All I want more than anything is to be in the 150's by the time we leave for Hawaii on June 14. I have re-set my mind as of this week, and am determined to get there. To aid in my goal, I'm committing to stepping up my exercise and tracking everything I eat 100% this month. I've decided to narrow down my 1,000,000 goals to simply 2 this month. As women, I feel we often try to multi-task too much-even though we are quite good at it most of the time! If we'd simplify our minds (kind of like men do-lol), we'd probably be more successful (like men are when they try to lose weight). Think about it! When your man "goes on a diet," how quickly does he drop the lbs?! I know mine can lose like 10 lbs in a day when he puts his mind to it. When I put my mind to it, I'm lucky if I lose 10 lbs in a year! Now, think about how they do it....do they simply cut out soda? Simply start running? Simply cut out carbs? More often than not, I bet they're doing one simple thing and it's working! Am I right?! I'm switching to man-mode this month. Wish me luck! :)
In order to step up my exercise, I'm going to focus on walking more and Jillian more. My mom and I stepped up the walking last month by walking up a steep hill and back down it at our lunch time-about a 15 minute walk. This month, we're going to continue to do this and a little more by doing the same 15 minute walk right before we start work in the morning.
My after-work workouts will continue (with possible slight variation or 1 day off here and there):
Monday- Walk and Zumba
Tuesday-Walk
Wednesday-Walk and Zumba
Thursday-Walk and Jillian
Friday-Jillian
Saturday-Walk and Jillian
Sunday-Walk and Jillian
*By "Jillian," I mean Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 DVD-Great toning/strength training workout! Uber cheap too!
I have also joined a group of ladies on my weight watchers message board in a biggest loser challenge. One of the ladies on the board organized teams, and each week we motivate one another on our teams, and post our weights to a spreadsheet each week. I think this will be a definite motivator for me knowing I have to share my weight with a bunch of other ladies that are also losing weight-I do not want to be the loser...rather than the biggest loser!
This past weekend was my 1st bachelorette party with my Wisconsin gals-great time! Next weekend (May 12-16) is my 2nd bachelorette party with my southern gals in Asheville, NC. I cannot wait to see my very great/missed friends, including my bridal party ladies!
The ladies in my family did something very unexpected, yet pleasant. They are throwing me a bridal shower on May 22 for all my closest family/friends here in Wisconsin. I am very appreciative to them for this! I've never actually been to a bridal shower, so I'm super excited to experience my own as the 1st! :)
Stay tuned-I'll try to keep you posted each week!

Week 3: Stupid Snow!
Starting Weight: 260 (January 2009)
Total Weight Loss: -95.4
Current Week (4/12/11): 164.6
Current Week: -.6
I had a really good week last week, so to see a loss of only -.6 was only slightly upsetting. Only slightly upsetting, because I had such a large loss the week before, so, on the other hand, I was happy to have kept off that big loss, and manage to get off another half a pound, so yay me!
Can you believe we have been under a winter storm warning the past 2 days, and have been getting dumped on with snow!? IT'S APRIL! IT'S SPRING! AHHHH...UGH..UGH...UGH!!! It has finally let up, and the temperature is already back up in the 40's, and should continue to head up into the 50's by the end of the week, so it won't be sticking around for too long. I really just hope this is the end of "winter"....this winter has been harsh, and we're all over it up here! The past two days have hated on my walking, so my attitude is sour.
Saturday 5k update:
Didn't do it :( It was windy, cold, and nasty out when we got up Saturday morning, so we didn't bother driving the 40 minutes to the 5k to run/walk for a miserable race...I'm just not that badass, and never will be! I didn't slack on the workouts however...I managed to fit in some amazing workouts last weekend, so I made up for it.
So for tonight, I'm going to make one of these (just haven't decided which one yet):
I'll let you know which one I decide on, and let you know how it was!
Today's Activity:
45 minute walk after work
Zumba 5:30-6:30
Total Weight Loss: -95.4

Swimsuit Shopping....YUCK!!! 1st Wedding Dress Fitting...YAY!!!
I recently started looking around for some swimsuits to take along to Hawaii. The only swimsuits I currently have on hand are the ones I wore last summer, which was about 20-40 lbs ago! I made do with those swimsuits last month when I went on a cruise with my fiance, and parents. I really thought they'd be ok to wear just to get through that vacation without having to fork over some money for swimsuits that might not fitting me by this summer. While they got me through that vacation, my booty looked saggy, and my ta tas were marshmallows inside of teacups! It wasn't a pretty picture, but who did I have to impress! I dealt with it!
I know, however, I need to purchase a new swimsuit wardrobe for this summer, so I ordered 5 new swimsuits online last week. I ordered 5, but only intend to keep, at the most, 3! I ordered 3 from Old Navy, 1 from Target, and 1 from JcPennys. Today, I received the one from Target, and the one from JcPennys in the mail, so I tried both on during my lunch period. The 1st to try on (and the one I anticipated I'd be sending back right away, due to it's risque nature for my not-so-fit body) was from Target. See link:

While I am not keeping this swimsuit, I really did like it! I wasn't entirely happy with it on my body, which is why it's going back, but I wasn't nearly as disappointed as I thought I would be! The picture on the website doesn't do it any justice; it really is a beautiful swimsuit! My only complaint was the bottom portion was just a little bit too skimpy on my frontside. I still have a bit of "pudge" on my mid section, and didn't like the slight "muffin top" that was coming out of the bottom portion. I probably would love it if I dropped 10 more lbs, but I just didn't want to take the risk of never liking it, so it's going back! I hope to re-visit monokinis again, because I think they're adorable!
So, while the first swimsuit was only a minor disappointment, I am absolutely in love with the 2nd one that has arrived from JCPennys! Here it is:

I am actually going to be able to show a little mid-drift, and it actually looks ok! This is a first time ever in my life! It is so vibrant, and so cute on my body! 5-10 more lbs gone before summer will make it look even more fantastic!
1st Wedding Dress Fitting:
Went AMAZING! I first bought the dress back in September, and it just came in last week (Yikes!)! It's a size 18, and I bought it when I was about a street size 14-16 (the dress runs small). I am now a size 12...almost 10. I have lost about 20-25 lbs since purchasing the dress, and it showed! It's being taken in about an inch on each side/seam, and it looks amazing on my body! The smiles my mom and I shared on Friday, while having my 1st dress fitting, were much needed after the awful week/loss of a pet that we endured last week. My 2nd fitting is May 5th...I can't wait to see it altered! The seamstress is also going to take it in a "smidge" more since I plan to be about 5-10 lbs lighter by wedding day. :)
Today's Activity:
15 min brisk-Up-Hill Walk at lunch
30-35 minute Walk with mom and dogs after lunch
1 Hour Zumba class 5:30-6:30
It's Chris's night to cook...YAAAYY FOR ME! But my night to do homework :( :( :( :(
I miss my bestie and Matron of Honor....I even miss that margarita we shared a couple weeks ago! :(

Last Night's Dinner=
AMAZING! A must-try for all! Again, here it is:
http://www.emilybites.com/2011/01/deep-dish-pizza-casserole.html
I got a phone call today from the bridal shop I ordered my wedding dress from about 7 months ago telling me that my dress and shoes have arrived! I am going in tomorrow for my first fitting at about 20 lbs lighter than I was when I ordered it (I ordered it in the size that fit me at that time)! This should be interesting...
Chris and I also received our first wedding gift in the mail today-so fun! Everything's really coming together, and this whole wedding thing is becoming so REAL! AHHH!!! :) :) :)
On a bit of a bummer note-we might not be doing a 5k on Saturday morning. We have nasty weather coming, and sorry....I'm not running a 5k in a down-pour...I'm just not that bad ass yet...not sure I ever will be!
I pigged out a little on girl scout cookies...they were super good! I tracked them, so I'm moving on!

Week 2: Let's mix things up!
Starting Weight: 260 (January 2009)
Total Weight Loss: -94.8
Current Week (4/12/11): 165.2
Current Week: -2.4
-WARNING:THIS MAY BE GRAPHIC TO READ OR SIMPLY UPSETTING TO ANIMAL LOVERS-
First off, I'd like to apologize for not having posted at least once more in this past week/weekend. It's been a bit of a rough one for my immediate family as my parent's 7 year old yellow lab passed away unexpectedly sunday night/monday morning while at the vet. She went in for a simple operation to remove a bump on her ear, and while being operated on, the vet noticed her WBC was low, she was bleeding a lot/not clotting, and her gums began to bleed. The assumption at that point was that Maggie had gotten into rat poisoning, which was absolutely baffling, as my parents would never bring rat poisoning onto their property. The only solution was that she must have gotten ahold of a rat/mouse that had rat poisoning. The solution to this was to give Maggie Vitamin K shots to raise her blood/cell levels, and she immediately started getting better upon receiving the shots. At this point, we think the solution has been found and after a few days, she will shake it off! Saturday morning, I went with my mom to pick Maggie up (she spent the night at the vet Friday night), and the vet showed us that she was still bleeding a lot and every time she'd shake her head, blood would go flying from her ear, which was making a very large mess (a very sad sight to see). The vet offered to let her stay the remainder of the weekend so they could keep her cleaned up, stitched up, packaged, and so my mom could avoid having a huge mess. Leaving her at the vet to allow them to take care of her wound over the weekend was the very obvious right choice to make. On Monday morning, my mom called me, at which point I assumed she would ask me to ride up with her to the vet to pick Maggie up. I answered her phone call and heard, "Maggie's dead..." accompanied by tears. This was the most unexpected, shocking, and heartbreaking news to hear, and I lost it. The vet was extremely confused, and said it could have been a number of reasons; lupus being the most possible of reasons, which probably caused her heart to stop due to a blood clot. No matter what the reason, it doesn't change the outcome, so that's not important. This is day 3 post our loss...and each day gets better, but it's still just completely devastating. Our dogs mean the world to us...they're simply our family members, and nothing less.
MOVING ON!!!
On a lighter note, I did really well this week with my activity/food journaling/food choices! I journaled all my food, earned 33 activity points, and still had a good time/didn't deprive myself while doing it! I managed to do this having eaten out twice, and even went drinking one night! All in all, a great and successful week having lost 2.4 lbs at my weigh in last night at weight watchers!
I've decided I do best when I, somewhat, "confuse" my body from week to week and constantly mix things up. I know that if I did the same exact thing this week as I did last week, I just wouldn't do as good. This week, I'm going to focus on all cardio, while last week I focused on cardio and toning. Maybe next week I'll do toning only! I don't know yet...I'll get through this week first! Today I walked for a total of 1 hour for my activity, gaining 5 Activity Points. Tomorrow, I hope to do the same. On Saturday, I will be doing my first 5k of the season with my mom and Chris, and hope to accomplish a good time while running most of it! I'm setting a goal of less than 36 minutes. As I discussed earlier, I'll keep you posted on this!
Each week (actually, almost each night!), I like to find a new recipe and make it. I am especially partial to the following blogs right now:

These ladies post amazing recipes! I have yet to make one I do not like. I'll try to review the new recipes I make as often as possible. Tonight I'm making this:

"How much more weight do you want to lose before your wedding?"
This is the question I have received numerous times since losing the amount of weight I have lost within the last month. 1st-I think this question is rude. 2nd-Why not stop at "you look great". Now, I'll explain to you why I think this is rude. I had lost 70 lbs before getting engaged in August. Anyone who knows me for who I am would know this, and know that I was never losing weight for my wedding to begin with; I'm losing weight for me and to be healthy! I am approximately 27 lbs away from my healthy weight range. I hope to get to my healthy range at some point, but I do not have a time-limitation goal in mind in order to achieve it. Some people might do well with time-limit goals, but I do not. It's too much added pressure that just isn't necessary. End Rant.
Onto some fun stuff!
I will become Mrs. Nesbit in 69 days! We are leaving June 14th to head to our rest/relaxation destination of Waikiki, Hawaii. Two days later, on June 16, I will be getting married on the North Shore of Oahu at Turtle Bay Resort in the beautiful pavilion you see below!
We will have the pleasure of being in the presence of 8 bridal party members, 26 family members, and 10 friends that are so amazingly willing to join us for an entire week in Hawaii! We have come to realize that we are loved and so supported by all of our amazing family and friends. Just to name a few things Chris and I (and some other guests throughout the vacation) will be doing while we're there (besides getting married), we will be attending a luau, visiting Pearl Harbor, and taking a helicopter tour of the island for some great views! Every other second of the week may be simply spent soaking up the sun on the beautiful beaches! We've had a pretty brutal winter here in Wisconsin....snow upon snow upon snow upon cold upon cold upon cold, so once this summer does arrive, I will be appreciative of the warm sun!
This month is packed with some fun as well! This weekend Chris and I are headed out on a "play date" with our friend Melissa who is celebrating her birthday! It will be a nice, laid back, evening of good food and cocktails. I'm pretty psyched for a low-key but fun night out tomorrow night!
On the 16th, Chris, my mom, and I will be doing our first 5k of the year! I plan to attempt to run most of it for the first time, so I will keep you posted on how that goes!
On the 23rd, my mom, my aunt, and I will be heading to the Minneapolis for a shopping day! It'll be nice to just have a girls day of pure FUN!
On the 30th, my Wisconsin friends are throwing me a bachelorette party, which I'm super psyched about! I never expected a bachelorette party up here in Wisconsin, as all of our bridal party is in Georgia. My friends up here in Wisconsin are proving to be very amazing people, and worth keeping around for a while ;)
Next month, on May 12, Chris and I will be flying out to head down south for our bachelor and bachelorette parties with our southern pals/bridal party members. I am flying into Chattanooga to meet up with my Matron of Honor and then we will head to Asheville, North Carolina for the weekend, where we will meet up with approximately 8 other gals to party the weekend away! Chris will be heading to Orlando where he'll meet up with his clan of men to party his weekend away!
So far....we don't have much going on past that weekend! The next stop will be our departure to Hawaii on June 14! Then, we're having an at-home reception in Wisconsin on June 25. Lots and lots of fun ahead! I am so blessed to be experiencing such an amazing time in my life, and couldn't be happier with all aspects that contribute to it!
Today's Activity:
Brisk 15 minute up-hill walk at lunch
Hopefully a walk after work with my mom (her dog had surgery today, so not quite sure if it will happen!)
If no walk after work, Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 DVD
Happy Friday ya'll!

Week....well, let's just say WEEK 1!

Total Weight Loss: -92.4
Starting Weight: 260 (January 2009)
Current Week (4/7/11): 167.6
Current Week: -.08
So, yes, I disappeared off of the face of the planet for about.....9 months! So sorry! So much has happened since July, 2010. Which...is probably why I have been so absent! Therefore, let's just start anew with this blogging journey and call this WEEK 1! I have also decided to provide stats including the weight I lost before joining weight watchers in May of 2009, as I did lose a little bit before beginning my weight watchers journey. You will see this reflect in the above stats, and from here on out.
On August 2, my amazing, fabulous, super fantastic BOYFRIEND became my FIANCE! He got down on one knee in our kitchen and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him! I have steadily been wedding planning ever since (Working full-time and grad school also!). I can't even believe that we will be getting married in just a little over 2 months from today! We will be married on the island of Oahu, Hawaii on June 16, 2011. We have a dream wedding planned that I never in a million years thought would ever happen to me, and we have an amazing support system of approximately 45 guests joining us in Hawaii for a week! I will continue to clue you in on details of the wedding each day I blog! See engagement picture above-this was taken in November-have lost some more weight since! I will post an up-to-date picture of my current "physique" tomorrow!
As far as the weight loss goes-it's been a slow but progressive journey. Since my last post, I've lost a little over 20 more lbs, and am now in the 160's, and holding steady around 167ish. Definitely busting butt big time this week to put a bit of a dent in that number. To this day, I have lost a total of 93 lbs, and am insanely proud of my success. I feel amazing. :) I hope to update my stats for you tomorrow!

Week 7: Insanity!
Total Weight Loss: -54
Starting Weight: 243 (May 2009)
Current Week (7/6): 189
Current Week: -1.6
Nice stats, eh? hehe...I finally got into the 180's! I was getting sooo sick of the 190's as they CLEARLY overstayed their welcome. I love you 180's, but please please please don't stick around for too long!
So let's talk 10k....it was CRUCIAL. First of all, we started and were told about 3/4 a mile in to turn around and start over, because the leaders of the pack lead us the wrong way. Then, we waited at the start line for about 15 minutes to re-start the race. Finally, we got on the right path and headed toward the finish line in BRUTAL HEAT! There was not one single part of the path that was shaded. It was hot hot hot, and I was not dealing well. I have, what I have discovered, heat-induced asthma. I always knew I had activity induced asthma, but heat triggers it even more so during activity. Around mile marker 4, I had what felt like a ton of bricks sitting on my chest, and could not, for the life of me, catch my breath. I slowed down A LOT, and fought the urge to stop all together. Well, I kept going and finished anyways! I am re-thinking the races in the middle of summer at that length...not sure my asthma can handle it quite yet.
Next-let's talk INSANITY!!! Chris told me one day he was interested in doing the P90x program, and I did a little research and came across the Insanity program, which is 60 days, rather than P90x's 90 day program. Insanity also focuses a little more on toning what you already have, rather than bulking up what you already have, like P90x does. Well, let me tell you, Shawn T. can suck it! I am in soooo much pain...and it's only Day 4! Oh well...no pain no gain, right? I'll keep you posted on results. I took a before picture, but I do not guarantee that I will post that picture until I see that I have obvious results after 60 days! It's not pretty...
So, did you know I have collar bones? Cuz I definitely never knew I did until I woke up with them one morning this week!!!! :) :) :) :) I had to take a picture!
Tonight we're doing day 4 of Insanity...pray for me!

Week 6: Going...Going....Going....Nowhere!
Total Weight Loss: -52.4
Starting Weight: 243 (May 2009)
Current Week (7/6): 190.6
Current Week: -0
As you can probably tell by my title of this entry, I'm a little frustrated. I am THRILLED to have at the very least been able to maintain and keep off the magnificent numbers I've been putting up the last 6 weeks, but ZERO this week?! I worked out 5 times this week, and earned 34 AP's....34!!!! That's the most I've ever earned on WW, and I've been doing WW for YEARS on and off...Yes I'm one of those that tried over and over again, and this is the time that finally just CLICKED.
Anyways, that's my rant, and I'm moving on as of RIGHT NOW!
This past weekend was great! Chris and I didn't have any plans for the holiday weekend, so we just went with the flow and really just ended up relaxing all weekend. Spent Saturday and Sunday afternoon at my parent's pool, sunbathing, and enjoying the beautiful weather. Cookouts both nights...ok eating both days...maybe a little overboard on the cupcakes on Sunday, but I did track them!
I have a BIG weekend ahead, as I am doing a 10k with my mom and boyfriend on Saturday. I'm super excited about it, but also super nervous, as I remember my last more-than-6 mile walk, and the pain I endeared after. I am hoping the great amount of AP's I've been getting in means I'm a little more in shape this time around. Either way, once it's over, I'll be thrilled I did it, and there's nothing better than that feeling.

SV and Booked Vacation!!!
Total Weight Loss: -52.4
Starting Weight: 243 (May 2009)
Current Week (6/15): 190.6
Current Week: -2
2 lbs! Wow, I'm on a roll!!! Which, is amazing, since I now have a new goal! Out of the blue, I decided to book a vacation with my best friend Meg, and we are going to SAINT LUSIA! We leave 2 months from today...2 months! If you can't tell, I'm totally excited! Her friend is getting married, and she needed a "date" to go with her since it's at a Sandals, which only does couples rates...if I understand that correctly. So, my new "mini" goal is to be in the 170's by the time we leave....It could be 179.9 for all I care...I just really want to see a 7! In order to do this, I need to lose at least 10.7 lbs, which I am very confident I can do!
I am currently at a weight that I have not seen in at least 4 years, and I am feeling absolutely amazing. Everything about me just feels healthier and happier. My body is starting to tone up a bit, my skin is looking amazing, my nails are growing (I'm a nail biter, don't know when I kicked that habit), and I feel great! I am in large hopes that I will see the 180's next week, which is a weight I saw for a brief period of time in 2004, but I did not stay there long.
I was at my lowest weight that I can recall, which was about 174 in 2004, when I met my boyfriend. I look back on pictures from then and I was looking great! Being able to see that I am not so far off from that number now makes me incredibly anxious to look like that again! I am also noticing, however, that I am losing weight differently this time around, as I have amped up my activity this time around, compared to just eating better when I lost a lot of weight 6 years ago. I am looking about as healthy now as I did then at 174. I know I won't be where I want to be when we go on this Saint Lucia trip, but I want to know that I am still well on my way to being where I want to be by the time my family goes on our cruise next March!
I am using this very upcoming trip as motivation! I worked out on a Tuesday (Weigh in day) for the 2nd week in a row after my weigh in! I was the weight watcher that would binge and be lazy every Tuesday night, but I have a whole new outlook: Start the week out right, and it will end right! Not only did I work out last night, I burned over 700 calories in an hour!
I really want to get into the habit of getting up in the morning and working out, but I'm having a super hard time convincing myself when my alarm goes off that working out is more important than 40 more minutes of sleep...struggling, but I'm determined to conquer it!

Too Long
Since I have blogged! I promise to get better at this!
So time to play catch up! The stats below are for my last 3 WI's. I lost a total of 5.4 lbs at 3 WI's!!! A whopping 4.2 loss on June 15th's WI...I really hope this means my plateau has officially been kicked!

Now that we're caught up on my last 3 weeks of SLACKING, let's get down to business! Let's see...what's been going on with me??
Well, pretty much same 'ol, same 'ol. The last walk/run I did was still the quarter marathon. My next walk is this Saturday in the town next to mine. It's nothing special....just a walk that was thrown together for their annual rodeo days...yes, I said it...rodeo days. Wisconsin is FULL of town and state festivals ALL summer long. Can you blame us? We're cooped up in the house for at least 6 months out of the year due to the blistering cold winters!
I have planned out run/walks through September, and they are as follows:
July 3-Rodeo 5kJuly 10-YMCA 10K
August 14-Grunski Runski 10k
August 28-Charity Challenge 5kSeptember 19-ThedaCare Orthopedics Plus Half Marathon
What can I say!?! I'm addicted to them! The best part-I even have Chris doing them with us now, and he loves them! The July 10 10k will be his first 10k, however, and I think he is underestimating how grueling this walk/run is going to be. FUN TIMES!
SHOPPING!
That's right, I finally gave into the baggy and overwhelmingly frumpy clothes in my closet! There is a page that was created on facebook called "ww traveling pants (and skirts...and dresses)", and I have utilized it greatly! I went through my closet and rid of all bottoms bigger than a size 16, and all tops bigger than a Large (I am somewhere between a size 14 and 16 now and a size medium or large in tops). I also was able to benefit from the amazing girls on the page that are smaller than me currently, and giving up their larger clothes! However, there were still a few essentials I needed to add to the wardrobe, and saved up a couple paychecks to go shopping! It was AWESOME!
Modeling a couple new purchases!
FOOD!
I bought a 3 months journal and one of those cute little snap books to put it in, as well as my ww weekly book. Having something tangible to carry around in my purse has really stepped up my tracking game! It's also super cute, and I constantly want to pull it out and use it. See Below:
I've really been stepping up my veggies/fruits intake, water, and have been eating oatmeal and taking a multi vitamin religiously every day. I think it's working! However, I did go a little overboard Saturday with points...went out to a comedy club, so alcohol and snacking really added up, but I tracked it, and I'm moving on!
SUPPORT TEAM!
Now I remember I said I'd try to introduce you to all of my support team randomly throughout my blogs! So, this week, I'd like you to meet my favorite person in the entire world, dbf Chris! :) :) He has been such an amazing support system throughout my journey and tells me over and over again how proud of me he is, so this is a shout out to the love of my life! :) :)

RECIPES!!
Now I know I also said I'd get some recipes up...haven't gotten to that yet! I hope to get some up this week, so stay tuned! Tonight's dinner is going to be a light version of fish sticks! How fun does that sound?!?!
Tomorrow is WI day, so I'll update you on the newest success (hopefully!) asap! TTFN!

Short and Sweet
Starting Weight: 243 (May 2009)
Current Week: 198
Current Week: +1.6
Total Weight Loss: -45
Wow so the past few weeks have been rough...it's the start of summer, and I'm so happy it's summer, I apparently can't stop stuffing my face, and am too lazy to work out! Well...I'm actually posting this nearly a week after this weigh in (my next weigh in is tomorrow) and I have kicked it up a bit! Last week, I bought a 3 month journal and one of the new snap cases to put it in. I have tracked every single thing I put in my mouth this week, and have also earned 24 activity points! However, I have also eaten every daily point, weekly point, and activity point available this week....we will see tomorrow how that works out!
This past weekend, I did a quarter marathon! 6.55 miles! WALKING! The event was "Walk Wisconsin" and we were only allowed to walk...no running! My mom and I did it together and finished in just under 2 hours. I was beyond sore the next day, but jumped right into some more activity for the two days following, and now feel great! I must have worked the pain out!
Sorry to cut this blog short, but I weigh in tomorrow, and hope to have good news to follow!
Current Week: 198

Not so great week-very challenging weekend ahead!
Starting Weight: 243 (May 2009)
Current Week: 196.4
Current Week: +1.4
Total Weight Loss: -46.6
Last week was pretty rough! I know I didn't eat the greatest, but I also know I've eaten a lot worse, and worked out a lot less! I did zumba 3 times last week, and did a 5k on Saturday, and gained! I am at a realization that I am at a serious plateau and I need to tweak my routines a little to start seeing some consistent results. I have made a goal this week to keep at the 4 or more times per week working out, but I have made it a point to push myself just a tad bit more during my work outs. At Zumba on Wednesday night, I stepped up my game-I pushed it harder, extended my ranges of motions, and just moved at a faster pace. Last night, Chris and I went for a walk, but he wasn't going to get home 'til close to 6 to start our walk, so I "warmed up" with Jillian Michaels 30 day shred. I'm also not one to work out on Fridays, but I am going to do Jillian Michaels again when I get home after work in about half an hour!
Recap on this past weekend's 5k: It was for a great cause! All money raised was given to a family with two daughters; one is 13 with ovarian cancer and autism, and the other one is much younger...maybe 4 or 5 that has downs syndrome. So, a great feeling to contribute to their medical bills! HOWEVER, the course for the 5k was MISERABLE. It was through an ultimate frisbee type field, and the grass was wet, and there were holes all over the place! Quite the challenge, and glad we made it through it, but will not be participating in that one next year.
This weekend: We're going to Milwaukee for an all day trip tomorrow to see the Thunderbird's air show, and then going to a Brewers game tomorrow night....and then driving back....LONG DAY AHEAD. My mom and I are going to plan out our daily dishes this evening for tomorrow, so we don't fall off the wagon completely for an entire day, because believe me, I know that one day can ruin your entire week!
I hope to get on towards the end of this weekend with some more updates! Have a fantastic memorial day weekend everyone!

Zumba, Zumba, Zumba!
Starting Weight: 243 (May 2009)
Current Week: 195
Current Week: 1.8
Total Weight Loss: -48
So GREAT WI this week! Lost 1.8, and I definitely worked for it...however I feel like I only worked for it the 3 days prior to my actual WI day. So this week...I figure why not work for it all 7 days of the week and try to double my efforts and losses! So...it's Thursday...2 days in, and so far so good!
I have worked out 3 times already this week! I was lucky to average 2 times per week for the few months prior to now. However, I have found a work out that i truely LOVE-Zumba! It's the first work out ever that I wake up each morning I know i have it and think YES! I have Zumba tonight! Instead of...UGH! I have to go to the gym tonight/walk to night. So...yes...all three of my workouts this week have been Zumba classes. I also have a 5k on Saturday-I hope to have a picture for you from that to post this weekend! And another Zumba class again Monday before my WI on Tuesday night!
I am actually GOING OUT this weekend! I have turned into such an old lady...Chris and I barely ever go out anymore-we sit around and enjoy each others company...most of the time ;) But...an old friend of mine and I are going out for a ladies night! We usually get together 1-2 per month but always as couples and with her beautiful family of 4 kiddos! This time...it's just us gals! She invited her neighbor lady friends, and Chris is going to go hang out with her husband and kiddos for the night-super psyched! I really need a night out of gossip and just ladies!
Tonight we had stir fry-Chris makes a fabulous stir fry! Next time, I'll try to remember to take pictures and break it down into points.
In this post, I'd like to introduce you to my bestest friends who I miss sooo much! I went to college in Georgia...and as discussed earlier...now living in Wisconsin...so they all still live down in the south-Tennessee and Georgia-and I don't get to see them often :(

L to R: Stef, Me, Marybeth, Meg, and Sarah
We recently saw each other at the end of April for Stef's beautiful baby girl's 1st bday party! I flew down for the weekend, and had an amazing time with my ladies! Prior to that, we saw each other at the end of February. We all gathered in Atlanta, GA for a (mostly) fabulous girls weekend! I say mostly because I got sick on night 2 and was miserable while everyone else was out having fun! I decided after that trip, I had to make up for the lost time by making my way back for the lil gal's bday! I have been missing them TONS this week, and am contemplating my next trip down...OR maaayyybe they can come up here :)
More to come soon!

Nightmarish Weekend
This weekend was a big FAT NIGHTMARE! Well...not even the entire weekend-just yesterday! Friday night was good. We went out to eat at my family's restaurant and I had a small dinner salad with FF Italian dressing, broiled haddock (no butter), and a baked potato with a small amount of sour cream to top it. Chris and I had a nice night in on Friday-actually we were both in bed by 10:30-we're old!
Saturday-we got the boat out for the first time this year and we went boating/fishing! Before fishing, I started out with a fabulous, but pointy (10 pts!) breakfast! I had half a Belgium waffle (4 pts), and a bagel thin egg, cheese, and bacon sandwich (6 pts)-so worth it! Lunch time came around, and we were already on the boat. We planned ahead and grabbed some subs at subway, so at this point...I'm still doing ok. It was after our relatively unsuccessful fishing trip (my mom caught 1 bass and the rest of us caught nothin'!) that I started to dive head first into the red! My dad had a tractor pull on main street of my home town...I know I know...sounds redneck! And it is! But we had fun...anyways...I had a bag of not-so-point friendly chips, and a pulled pork sandwhich-the bun alone was probably 5 pts! at the event...I also had three beers...and topped off the night with a 15 pt shake from Culvers! I tracked it all, and with a whopping 63 pt day...I am moving on!
Today has gone well so far. I started the day off with a chobani greek yogurt-love them! I also had a fantastic lunch I really want to share with you! I have found the easiest lunch/dinner meal to make, and Chris likes it too-Quesadillas!. It consists of the following ingredients:

Directions-Fill any size tortilla with whatever ingredients you like-I like it simple with chicken and cheese. I get the chicken from Sam's Club-it's already pre-cooked fajita meat. The rest of the ingredients should be able to be found at any grocery store. You can use 1 tortilla and fold it in half or two tortillas and use one on top and one on bottom. Spray a non-stick skillet and cook for 2 minutes each side. Wha-La! A meal in less than 10 minutes! I use a pizza cutter and cut it like a pizza into triangles when done, and use FF sour cream and taco sauce to dip the triangles in.
Chris is currently cooking us up some dinner on the grill-tenderloins and corn on the cob...mmmmm!!!! I can't wait!

Week 1: Hi!!!
Hi! My name is Tara, and I'm from a small town in Wisconsin. I work as a Quality Assurance Coordinator for my family's cheese company...I know, I know...lol. I have an amazing boyfriend of 6 years, and an adorable 3 year old miniature schnauzer named Molly. DBF and I have been discussing marriage, and future plans, and I hope to be able to update you more on that SOON!
I have done Weight Watchers about 4 times now...the first time I lost about 40 lbs, but had since gained back that 40 plus another 40. The 2nd and 3rd Weight Watchers attempts were a fail on my part. And this 4th attempt has been a huge overall success thus far! I began in May of 2009 (so almost a year ago!), and have so far lost 46.2 lbs! I did, however, begin working out/eating better prior to starting Weight Watchers last year, and lost about 13 lbs before beginning. I will only keep you updated on my official Weight Watcher progress, however, so not to make it too confusing.
So this isn't week 1 of my journey, but it is week 1 of my first official blog! I have been updating my progress and goals at http://imwastingaway.webs.com/ since the beginning of my journey, and I will continue to do so. I will also post here at least weekly to update you on each week's successes! (OR FAILURES!) So let's get started!
Starting Weight: 243 (May 2009)
Current Week: 196.8
Current Week: -.0 (No movement this week)
Total Weight Loss: -46.2
My WI day is Tuesdays, so I will update as soon as I can after I WI each week. I am a huge fan of creating/finding new recipes, and I aim to try something new each week. I will take pictures and provide recipes as often as possible.
To give you a frame of reference, here is a picture of my before and after as of now. I will continue to update these pictures as my progress is visible.
My mom and I (and other stragglers here and there) have been doing two 5k's per month, so I will also tell you about those each time we complete one. We just did one this past weekend in Appleton, WI called the Sole Burner for The American Cancer Society. Below is (from L to R) my friend Jamie, Aunt Julie, Mom Terri, Me, and DBF Chris.

We had a blast! It was a little cold and wet, but a good time. It was the first time my friend Jamie and DBF Chris had joined us, and I believe they're hooked!
We don't have anything scheduled for this weekend, but I hope to get out and do a 5k of my own either Saturday or Sunday. We do zumba every Monday, and to be honest, that's about all the workout I have been getting in besides our twice a month 5k's. I have recommitted and am back on the wagon! Stay tuned!
